This one-year project is for a core network of seven established African NGOs to embark upon a process of benchmarking the performance of key African governments in respect of human security issues, measured against the commitments taken at the level at OAU/AU heads of state meetings.The AHSI partners are the South African Institute for International Affairs (SAIIA), the Institute for Human Rights and Development in Africa IHRDA), the Southern Africa; Southern Africa Human Rights Trust (SAHRIT), the West African Network for Peace (WANEP), the African Security Dialogue and Research (ASDR), the African Peace Forum (APFO) and the Institute for Security Studies ISS).The Project is funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID)

The Centre for Conflict Resolution, Cape Town Posted by Hello

The Centre for Conflict Resolution is housed in the Old Medical School of the Hiddingh Hall Campus of the University of Cape Town. The campus is located in the suburb of Gardens. When walking from the city centre, the campus is at the top of Government Avenue in the Company Gardens, accessible through the security gate to Bertram House. The entrance for vehicles is at the T-junction intersection of Rheede and Orange Streets.
